Hill Lodge is a magnificent modern angling lodge situated overlooking
Lackafinna bay at the north eastern corner of Lough corrib. The site
is secluded and scenically stunning yet is only a few minutes drive
from the bustling tourist centre of the village of Cong.
Lough Corrib is renowned for the quality of its game angling for salmon
and trout but it is as Europe's premier wild brown trout fishery that
it is justly famous for. The season on the Corrib begins on the 15th
of February but the first serious angling starts in mid-March with
the duckfly hatch. thereafter the olives, mayfly, daddy, perch fry
and daphnia provide excellent sport throughout the season until the
close on the 30th of September.

Hill Lodge provides the perfect base for an angling holiday on Lough
Corrib at any time of the year. The Lodge has a private boat jetty
with two fully equipped 19' lake boats allowing immediate access to
the excellent angling grounds of Lackafinna Bay and the open Lough
beyond.
The
Lodge itself is luxuriously appointed with 4 large en-suite bedrooms,
a large kitchen with all modern appliances, a dining area overlooking
the Lough, a large lounge with a full size snooker table and a utility
room with a freezer, washing machine and dryer.Cuckoo
Hill Lodge is available for rent throughout the season for up to 8
guests and the use of the private jetty and 2 fully equipped lake
boats is included.
